Interview Overview

Q1: Briefly introduce yourself.

Hello everyone, my name is Xu Lu. I joined Kaidi in March 2009 and have been in Kaidi for almost 13 years. When I joined the company, I was mainly responsible for product maintenance. The module I belonged to was circuit board processing. We were mainly responsible for PCB design/PCBA production and maintenance. Later, after the company started to develop self-developed products, it was responsible for product maintenance. Currently, it is responsible for the NPI (New Product Introduction) module in the process department.

Q2: Tell us about your daily work.

I am now mainly responsible for the new product introduction in the new product development stage, which is equivalent to the back end of project development. When we complete a product introduction, we are responsible for the confirmation of new product introduction data and the output of trial production data; the discovery, evaluation, improvement and follow-up of process/structure/quality problems; the evaluation of auxiliary tooling and fixture requirements; and during the development process To verify the entire development plan; lead the trial production of the project to manage it, and maintain the project to smoothly advance to the trial production summary; lead and promote the improvement of the problems in the trial production until the closed loop.

Q3: What unforgettable things have you experienced in your work?

Around 2014, the Technology Center carried out English learning activities for a period of time. The event started in the form of speeches in Chinese, with the original intention of improving everyone's expression and thinking skills.

From the beginning of a one-person keynote speech every day, preparing topics and content by myself, it gradually evolved into an English learning group. Starting from self-introduction and storytelling, there will be two hours of communication and learning time after get off work every day. Every night, everyone sits together like this, using their own English to describe the stories and topics they want to tell. At that time, the entire department The atmosphere is still quite relaxed and lively and even fun.

Q4: During the 13 years of Kaidi career, what has been driving you?

After graduation, my first official job was in Kaidi. There are many reasons for me to stay in Kaidi. One of the most important points is that the previous leaders helped me, which gave me a sincere sense of belonging to Kaidi.

The leader of the production department recommended me to the technical center, which made a major change in my career direction. In the technology center, the direct leader is also very helpful to me. Whether it is his working style, attitude towards work, or the way of being a person, I can learn from him, and he is also willing to actively help and promote his subordinates.

Later, several other department leaders I came into contact with also showed an attitude and willingness to lead everyone to learn and progress together, and to cultivate a positive departmental atmosphere. This is a very moving and cherished experience for me.

Q5: What changes have impressed you in the company?

When I first joined the company, Kaidi had less than 1,000 employees. It has grown rapidly in the past ten years, and the changes have also been very obvious. From the beginning of the main OEM to the current self-developed various products, Kaidi has gradually become a leader in the industry, which makes our more than ten-year-old employees very proud.

Around 2013, the company started to make its own products. Since embarking on the road of self-production and self-research, the company has developed very rapidly, and the overseas market has also grown rapidly. In those two years, it was obvious that there were a lot of orders, and our new product introduction was also accelerating. And Kaidi's product categories are developing very well, covering the whole category of actuators/control boxes/hand controls/lifting tables, etc., and the application fields are also expanding day by day.

Q6: This year marks the 30th anniversary of Kaidi, what expectations do you have for the future?

As an old employee of Kaidi, I am very happy to be able to grow up with him for 13 years, and I hope Kaidi can develop better and better. In the past, I have witnessed many major events that Kaidi has experienced, and I hope to be able to participate in more highlight moments related to Kaidi in the days to come.
